Privacy policy

This notice explains what we do with personal data: the details you send us through the contact form on felia.fi, and the business contact details we use if we contact you first. We keep it short because we collect very little.

What we collect
When you use the contact form, we receive:
- your name
- your email address
- your shop URL, if you give one
- your message
We don't ask for anything else. Please don't include sensitive information, such as health data or passwords, in your message.
If we contact you first, we hold:
- your name, work email address and job title
- your company's name and website
- public information about your company, such as its register entry
- your public professional profile, such as LinkedIn
- our correspondence with you, and notes from any calls we have
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
We use contact form details only to reply to you and to discuss a possible engagement. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). We don't add them to any mailing list or send newsletters, and we don't sell or share them with anyone other than the service providers below.
If we contacted you first
We sometimes contact e-commerce businesses whose Magento shops we believe we could help, usually with one email and a short follow-up.
Where your details come from: commercial business-contact databases (such as Apollo.io), website technology directories (such as BuiltWith), public company registers (such as Companies House) and your company’s own website.
Why, and on what legal basis: to offer our services to your business. Our legal basis is legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): contacting businesses about services relevant to their work, in a limited and targeted way. We only contact people in business roles, at their business address, about their business.
How much we contact you: at most an initial email, one follow-up, and possibly one phone call. If you don’t respond, we stop.
How long we keep it: if you don’t reply, we delete your details within 12 months of our last contact. If you ask us not to contact you, we delete your details and keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list, so that we never contact you again.
Your right to object: you can tell us to stop at any time, for any reason, by replying “remove” to any of our emails or by writing to hello@felia.fi. We stop immediately, with no questions.
Who else processes it
- Vercel Inc. hosts this website. Your form submission passes through their servers on its way to us.
- Google (Google Workspace) is our email provider and holds our records of who we've contacted. Your messages are stored in our business mailbox, and outreach details in a spreadsheet in the same Google Workspace account.
Both providers may process data outside the EU, including in the United States. Those transfers rely on the safeguards the providers offer under the GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
The sources we take business contact details from, such as Apollo.io, BuiltWith and Companies House, are not our service providers. They are independent organisations that process data under their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
If no engagement follows, we delete your message and details within 12 months of our last contact. If you become a client, we keep them for as long as the engagement lasts and for as long as the law requires afterwards, for example under Finnish bookkeeping rules.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- see the personal data we hold about you
- have it corrected if it's wrong
- have it deleted
- object to or restrict how we use it
Email hello@felia.fi and we'll respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuojavaltuutettu) at tietosuoja.fi.
Cookies and analytics
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or any other tracking, so there is no cookie banner.
Like any website, it does involve some technical data. When you load a page, your browser connects to our host, Vercel, which keeps short-lived server logs (such as your IP address and the page requested) to run the site and keep it secure. Your browser also loads icons from cdnjs (Cloudflare) and some images from Storyblok, the service we edit the site's content in, which means those services see your IP address too.
Changes
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
